Room (Discovery Suite) - 2 bedrooms, 2 ensuite bathrooms, 1 guest toilet, sitting room with big fridge, and terrace with comfy seating - Ocean views - Excellent value for money - Aircon works perfectly - Size of a two-bedroom apartment - Perfect for a family with two kids - Bath in the main bathroom - Fresh flowers in all bathrooms - Good shower pressure and temperature - Big fridge - Cable TV (not a smart TV) - 3 armchairs - Desk - Coffee machine Customer service - Excellent customer service, particularly the Front Office manager, Naomi, housekeeping, and the team at The Pond restaurant - All staff are friendly, efficient, responsive and professional - Check-in is fast and easy - Everyone smiles warmly and greets you - Any problems are addressed promptly, efficiently, and thoroughly and followed-up to ensure everything is resolved Breakfast at The Pond restaurant - Breakfast is fantastic - Buffet-style, but the food is so fresh it tastes like it was made-to-order - The staff remembered my mother’s food intolerances (gluten free, dairy free, FODMAPS) and each morning they took the initiative to offer dishes especially for my mother. The location is excellent. The facilities are exceptionally good with great mixing of gardens and lawns around the large pool with a great swim up bar. From arrival with a great impressive drive, fountsin and large reception, there are many wonderful locations headed by the sunset bar then the pond breakfast and meals dining area. This hotel is now a little aged in the rooms but they are large and very comfortable including the bed and good air-conditioning. The structural layout of the resort is old fashion but still really wonderful and ideal for the 700m of beachfront. The staff are obviously well trained to greet clients cheerfully and do their best to provide a great service. We greatly appreciated a late check out. A very enjoyable feature is the hotel provides a lot of free entertainment with cultural and musical shows every night. There are three good dining locations within the resort and many great restaurants nearby. Relaxing around the pool is delightful with a range of shade and in the sun sunbaking chairs.

The location of the resort is great. Close to Waterbom park and next to a shopping centre, but away from the busier areas of Kuta. The hotel is clean and the gardens are beautiful. The buffet breakfast had a huge selection of food, very fresh and tasty. I loved the free yoga and my husband said the hotel gym was great. The pool area was lovely. Our two bedroom apartment was awesome and had a great balcony to enjoy the ocean view. The staff were friendly and attentive. My children were sick during our stay and the staff were so caring and kind. They helped arrange a Dr and 2 nurses to attend our room to review them. Septi (Guest Experience Executive) was wonderful and checked on the wellbeing of our children daily, she arranged breakfast to be brought to our room for them when they weren’t well enough to go to the restaurant. Septi also had chicken soup and honey, lemon, ginger tea sent to the room for them. I can’t fault the service at Discovery Kartika Plaza!

The service was top notch and you can't go past the swim up bar for an amazing cocktail. It was like being on a cruise, we had entertainment starting at 9am with the dancing Bali girls, piano playing, the bali men playing the bamboo exylophones, then the aerobics by the pool to the night time live music with fire twirlers, and so much more. The rooms were immaculate (shout out to Toni on 5th floor) The breakfast was amazing from 6am to 11am so much food to mention, I have attached some photos of our stay, walking distance to Discovery mall, Waterbom park, Atm's, Bars, restaurants, sidewalk stalls for picking up a bargain or two. Also really good security at front and back of property. We couldn't get over how quiet it was and we were staying in the heart of Kuta. And did I mention it is beachfront with a walking track. Anywho, If you choose to stay, I think you'd love it and please have a breakfast Danish for me. Hahaha. We will be back. AAA+++.

This place is soooo amasing. The location is perfect, only 2 mins walk into Kuta along the beach pathway but tucked away in a completely silent and tranquil environment. Coral and rock free swimming in the beautiful beach right in front at hight tide and steps going down from the resort... The gardens, ponds, fish and sub tropical surroundings make it heaven to walk through and a huge swimming pool with swim up bar. The staff are amasing... helpful friendly and courteous at all times. The food is soo good and breakfast buffet is to die for - yum ! Oh and a fantastic huge gym, with free weights and a great selection of machines; AND air conditioned! Cannot recommend this place enough ... you CANNOT fault it... stayed 1 week. I will be back again very soon! Thankyou Discovery Kartika Plaza
